4-H club donates blankets to cancer center

The Boone County Bluff Creek Wranglers 4-H club recently donated 27 fleece blankets to the Trinity Regional Medical Center’s Cancer Center. The blankets will be used to help comfort those receiving chemotherapy treatments at the hospital. Funding for the blankets was provided by a Pioneer Community Improvement Grant and other donations. The club received $240 from the grant, the club donated $100 and they received a $60 donation from the Pilot Mound United Methodist Church.
The club also donated seven turbans to the Look Good Feel Better program. This program helps patients who have lost their hair as a result of cancer treatments. The money used to purchase these turbans was also came from the grant.
