ROCKWELL CITY - Marjorie M. Miller, 92, of Rockwell City, formerly of Fort Dodge, died Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in the loving care of Trinity Hospice and surrounded by her devoted family.
Cremation rites will take place at the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Interment services will be held in the Evergreen Cemetery at Lohrville at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Marjorie is survived by her children, Ronald (Kae) Miller, Fort Dodge; Lonna (Bruce) Wing, Minnesota; grandchildren, Lorri Hammons and family, Phoenix, Arizona; Chantelle Reeves and family, Des Moines; Shawn Miller and family, Fort Dodge; Valerie Cleveland and family, Humboldt; Tammy Draffan and family, Montara, California; Greg and Lynne Voss, Anchorage, Alaska; many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, her brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Jean Dooley; and sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Jack Swanson. She was preceded in death by her husband Norman.
Marjorie Mae Dooley, the daughter of Roland and Neva (Hitchins) Dooley, was born June 17, 1920 in Lake City. She graduated from Lohrville High School. On September 6, 1938, Marjorie was united in marriage to Norman Miller in Lohrville and they enjoyed 71 wonderful years together. Marjorie was a nurse at Friendship Haven for 25 years. She also farmed with her husband on their farm near Farnhamville and she enjoyed being a homemaker.
Marjorie enjoyed cooking for her family and making crochet projects. Her Christian faith was important to her and she lived her faith as a devoted member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
