WEBSTER CITY - Kendall Young Library is continuing its fall book sale by dedicating a shelf to the effort, according to Library Director Angie Martin-Schwarze.
Patrons who purchase books pay for them by adding to a nearby donation jar. Martin-Schwarze said the shelf helps the library staff clear out the backlog of books and allows them to continue to take donations of books and other items.
According to Martin-Schwarze, the annual fall book sale brought in more than $37,000 for the library. The combined total for the spring and fall book sales totalled about $62,000.
