Several area high school dance teams and the Iowa Central Community College Dance Team will be competing Thursday and Friday at the Iowa State Drill Team Association's 2013 State Dance and Drill Team Championships at Hy-Vee Hall and Wells Fargo Arena in downtown Des Moines.
A total of 15 area high schools and colleges will compete in more than 60 classes of pom, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, hoopla, colorguard, novelty, show production, lights, coed, all male, military and kick working to bring home state championships in their divisions.
