CLARION - Staying on the winning track, the St. Edmond boys basketball team topped North Central Conference foe Clarion-Goldfield by a 57-43 final Friday night.

The Gaels (2-0 overall, 2-0 NCC) jumped out to an eight-point advantage at the half and never looked back.

"At this point, we're about where we want to be right now," said SEHS head coach Adolph Kochendorfer. "We went on the road with a whole different team, and I thought we handled (the environment) pretty well."

Robbie Burke powered the Gaels with 21 points and nine rebounds, while David Flattery collected nine points and 14 boards. Hank Crimmins added six assists and six rebounds.

"Robbie did a good job of sealing his man on the low-block and getting some point-blank looks," Kochendorfer said. "In stretches, we passed the ball really well and got most of our assists on high-low action to Robbie."

Adam Stevens and Stephen McAtee each finished with 10 points for the Cowboys (1-1, 1-1), who were outrebounded by SEHS, 44-32.
