WAUKEE - The Fort Dodge girls basketball team didn't have an answer for third-ranked (Class 5A)?Waukee on Tuesday night.
The Dodgers (2-4 overall) struggled for points, as the unbeaten Warriors (5-0) picked up a 65-15 victory.
Waukee started strong out of the gates, building a 19-6 lead after the first quarter. They pushed the cushion to 42-9 at the half.
Two minutes into the third quarter, the Warriors push had the advantage at 35 to set up the continuous clock.
"They ran a lot of people at us,'' said Fort Dodge head coach Scott Timmerman. "When they go to the bench, they're talent level doesn't drop much.
"They're solid throughout the lineup, running bodies in and out and wearing you down.''

Lani Van Zyl was not in the lineup for the Dodgers, as she has the flu.
The Dodgers are back in action on Friday as they host No. 1 Mason City. Action is set to begin at 6:15 p.m.
