WAUKEE - The Fort Dodge boys and girls bowling teams competed against Waukee and Johnston Tuesday night at Warrior Lanes.

The Dodger boys rolled a 2,429, falling to both the Warriors (2,619) and Dragons (2,571).

"You were OK if you threw a straight ball, but there was just no way to read the lanes," said FDSH head coach Don Ervin. "Waukee has a beautiful house, but the problems are in the oil pattern."

Alex Markov (189-168-357) and Chase Messerly (179-167-346) led the way for Fort Dodge.

In girls action, the Dodgers knocked off Johnston by a final tally of 2,223-2,183. Waukee (2,262) placed first.

Allison Birnbaum (166-165-331) and Ciara Sturm (178-149-327) were the top performers for Fort Dodge.
