MOLINE, Ill. - The Iowa Central women's basketball team regained its winning form Tuesday night, cruising to a 78-58 non-conference victory over Black Hawk.
After leading by just three points at the half, the Tritons (7-3 overall) outscored the Braves 38-21 in the final 20 minutes.
"Even though we were in serious foul trouble, we probably played our best defense of the year in the second half," said ICCC head coach Craig Carlson. "The huge thing for us was our depth, which really seemed to wear (the Braves) down."
Katie Dentlinger paced the Tritons (7-3 overall) with 15 points, while Jade Gregory tallied 13 points.
"Gregory hit three threes in the first half that really helped stem the tide," Carlson said.
AmUnique Washington and Ella Teel each finished with 10 points for Black Hawk.
