WAUKEE - The Fort Dodge boys swim team squared off with Grinnell and Waukee in a triangular on Thursday night.
The Dodgers posted a 60-34 victory over the Tigers, while falling to the host Warriors, 67-27.
Alex Hage (200 freestyle, 1:58.96) and Josh Lee (50 freestyle, 23.40) each claimed gold for Fort Dodge.
Turning in runner-up efforts for the Dodgers were Cal Brandt (200 individual medley, 2:12.43 and 100 butterfly, 59.37), Nick Sanford (100 breaststroke, 1:09.94), the 200 medley relay (Cal Brandt, Sanford, Rob Leigh and Josh Lee, 1:47.26) and the 200 freestyle relay (Leigh, Aaron Brandt, Cal Brandt and Lee, 1:36.69).
In addition, Leigh (100 freestyle, 54.16), Hage (500 freestyle, 5:30.76), Lee (100 backstroke, 1:02.87) and the 400 freestyle relay (Hage, Nick Pecka, Caleb Asay and Leigh, 3:46.41) all placed third for Fort Dodge.
"Waukee's getting to be a pretty powerful team, but we handled Grinnell pretty easily," said FDSH head coach Joel Greathouse. "Overall, we had some good times throughout the day. Even though some kids might have got third or fourth, they still had their best times of the season."
Next action for the Dodgers is Monday when they host Newton for a dual meet.
