CHURDAN - Marvin John Law, age 64 passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at his home. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 17, 2012 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Farnhamville, with Pastor Robert Zellmer officiating. Burial will be in Highland Township Cemetery, Churdan, with military rites by Edward English American Legion Post #198 of Churdan. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Farnhamville. Palmer Funeral Home, Gowrie is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife Peggy Law, Churdan; daughters, Jill Borkowski of Everly, Kimberly (Marc) Vasquez of Kansas City, MO, and Heather Law of Curlew; grandchildren, Rebecca and Daniel Borkowski, Kalen and Sean Law and Jakob Vasquez; mother, Mardell Law of Lake City and brother, David (Kathy) Law of Des Moines. Preceding him in death is his father, John Law.
Marvin John Law was born on June 19, 1948 at Carroll, Iowa and graduated from Churdan High School in 1966. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Marvin was united in marriage with Peggy Fricke on September 4, 1971 at Gowrie. He farmed the family farms all his life. Marvin was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and Edward English American Legion Post #198 of Churdan. He enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards and spending time with his family.
