MARSHALLTOWN - Cole Detmering's fall for Fort Dodge at 113 pounds Monday night sealed the first Central Iowa Conference Northern division dual meet victory for the Dodgers.

Fort Dodge gave up 18 points due to forfeits, but scored five falls in earning a 39-30 win over Marshalltown inside the Roundhouse.

The Dodgers (4-2 overall, 1-0 in the CIC-Northern) and Bobcats are now part of a league that also features Ames and Mason City. Fort Dodge will face both of those schools after the upcoming Christmas break.

Just this past Saturday the Dodgers won the Don Miller Invitational, but had a quick turnaround with Monday night action.

"We're a little banged up and battling some illness, but the kids that did wrestle put forth everything they had," said FDSH head coach Bobby Thompson. "I'm proud of the way they competed because most of them don't sound very healthy right now."

Cameron Hicks and Cory Alexander got Fort Dodge on the board with pins at 126 and 132 pounds, while Jonah Egli followed with a decision victory.
