GILMORE CITY — Donna Behrendsen, of Gilmore City, will celebrate her 80th birthday with an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at the Gilmore City Senior Citizen Center.

Donna Smith was born Dec. 28, 1932 in Emmetsburg, and graduated from Rolfe High School. She worked for Iowa Electric Light and Power for many years and also in the Pocahontas Recorders office.
