Lois Ann Josephson, 84. of Fort Dodge, died December 25, 2012 at Crestview Manor in Webster City, Iowa. Funeral services will be Friday, 11:00 a.m. at the First Covenant Church in Fort Dodge with Rev Allan Redenius officiating. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 5pm to 8pm at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home in Fort Dodge. Visitation will continue at the church on Friday, one hour prior to services.
Lois Ann Josephson was born March 12, 1928 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Verne and Zola (Babbitt) Nellis. She grew up in Fort Dodge and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School. Lois was united in marriage to Robert D. Josephson on August 5, 1947. The couple resided in Fort Dodge. In her younger years, Lois worked as a nurses aid. She also worked for Hormel as a meat demonstrator at area Fort Dodge grocery stores. She was a member of First Covenant Church where she was very active and sang in the church choir. She and her husband were Senior Advocates and enjoyed being snow birds in Texas for many years. She also enjoyed volunteering at Twin Lakes Bible Camp, singing, crocheting, and especially needlepoint. She will always be remembered for her home made barbeque sauce.
She is survived by her children: Pam (Greg) VanStechelman of Wichita, Kansas, Larry (Pattee) Josephson of Webster City, two granddaughters; Tami (Jason) Stinson-Fishbain, and Carrie (George) Menke, and seven great-gandchildren; Cody, Connor, Colin, Brooke, Camryn, Dagan, and Ali.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, brother Donald Nellis, and sister Arlene Thoden.
