A man suspected of sexually abusing and injuring a woman is being sought by the Fort Dodge Police Department after an incident early Saturday morning.
Mandell Clark, 37, of Fort Dodge, is facing charges of sexual abuse, willful injury and first-degree theft.
Police Chief Tim Carmody said officers were called to the area of 800 N. Sixth St. around 2:15 a.m. Saturday regarding the incident. As investigators discovered more information, they learned a 45-year-old woman had been sexually abused in the area of 1400 10th Ave. S.W.
The woman in this case is not being identified because she is a victim of sexual abuse.
Working with the Webster County attorney's office, Carmody said Clark was charged with the three crimes related to the incident.
While looking for Clark, the Fort Dodge/Webster County Special Emergency Response Team served a search warrant at 1229 Sixth Ave. N. Officers weren't able to find him at that house, and are still looking for Clark.
Clark is described as a black man who is 5 feet 11 inches and weighs about 270 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair with a receding hairline. He was last known to be living at 1229 Sixth Ave. N.
