CEDAR RAPIDS - The Fort Dodge wrestling team will put itself to the test against a pair of top-ranked programs today at the J-Hawk Invitational.

The meet begins at 10 a.m., with finals set for 4 p.m. Track Wrestling will be used, allowing fans unable to make it to the tourney an opportunity to follow along online.

Joining the Dodgers will be No. 1 (Class 1A) Alburnett and top-ranked (2A) West Delaware. The rest of the field includes Benton, Boone, Clinton, Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson, Dubuque Hempstead, Fort Madison, Johnston, Lake Forest (Ill.), Marshalltown, Oskaloosa, Waterloo East and the host, Cedar Rapids Jefferson.

Nearly 40 ranked wrestlers are expected to suit up, including Fort Dodge's Duke Egli. Last year, Egli captured a title at the invite, as the Dodgers placed fifth overall.

West Delaware earned the team crown, followed by Alburnett, Fort Madison and Johnston.

"This is another great test for our kids, especially the younger ones, to see where they are at right now," FDSH head coach Bobby Thompson said.
