The Fort Dodge boys and girls bowling teams both earned victories over Marshalltown Monday night at Ridgewood Lanes.
The Dodger boys prevailed by a 3,100-3,009 final. Drew Hanson (242-226-468) and Chase Messerly (214-248-462) were the top performers for Fort Dodge.
"We're getting a lot better and shooting more consistent," said FDSH head coach Don Ervin. "About 100 or 150 more pins will put us into state for sure."
In girls action, the Dodgers easily downed the Bobcats, 2,669-1,913. Ciara Sturm (202-216-418) and Allison Burnbaum (210-203-413) paced Fort Dodge.
"Our girls are working hard and really coming around," Ervin said. "Allison Birnbaum just started bowling a month before the season and is shooting great right now."
On the junior varsity side, the Dodger boys fell short, 2,752-2,318. Brady Anderson (168-203-371) and Thomas Thompson (170-194-364) led the way for Fort Dodge.
