Parents of the couple are Gene and Deb Schmitz, La Porte City; and Dallas and Barb Wall, of Fort Dodge.
A June 22 wedding is planned.
Schmitz is a 2010 graduate of Allen College and is a nurse at the Mayo Clinic on a kidney, liver and pancreas transplant unit.
Wall is a 2012 graduate of Iowa State University, with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He is pursuing a career in law enforcement.
