John Burns and David Flattery each earned unanimous all-North Central Conference first team status, announced recently by the league.

Burns, a senior for Bishop Garrigan, averaged 22.4 points and 7.3 rebounds this year, leading the Golden Bears to the substate final.

Flattery guided St. Edmond to a fourth place finish in the NCC, averaging 13 points per game and 7.6 rebounds. He was also second in the conference in assists with 114.

"David was our all-everything guy this year," said SEHS head coach Adolph Kochendorfer said. "He lettered every year of his career, including starting his last three years. Teams started figuring out that by taking David away, they could really slow us down.

"Still, he was able to get his points, lead us in assists and steals, and really have a productive career. I was happy he got on the first team."

Casey Schlatter of Iowa Falls-Alden was the third unanimous choice, as the Cadets captured the NCC title. He averaged a double-double for the Cadets.
