A truck driven by Nathan Harp apparently lost control and crashed into a yard at 2208 Sixth Ave. N., near St. Edmond schools. Two pickup trucks lost control and crashed early Sunday morning. Both drivers and a passenger were treated for minor injuries and released from Trinity Regional Medical Center.
A witness reported that two trucks were speeding on Sixth Avenue North at 1:55 a.m. Sunday, and ran the stop sign at North 22nd Street, according to the police report. Both trucks then seemed to lose control with the one driven by Harp rolling on its side and coming to rest against a tree. The second truck, driven by Michael Conrad, went about half a block further and hit a pillar in front of St. Edmond Elementary School, the report said. Conrad was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence. Other charges are pending. The Fort Dodge Police were assisted on the scene by the Fort Dodge Fire Department, Trinity Regional Ambulance and the Iowa State Patrol.
