Defending Class 1A state champion Manson Northwest Webster held off Algona to secure a team title at the Dodger Relays Monday night.
The Cougars won seven events, including the final two relays, to amass 162 points in Class B. Algona, behind four event titles, finished with 132.
St. Edmond was third, followed by Eagle Grove, Humboldt, Hudson and Valley Lutheran.
"These kids have stayed focused by working hard at our indoor facility and just remaining positive," MNW head coach Jeff Anliker said. "It wasn't the best of conditions, but it was better than last year and better than we've had several times (this spring)."
Brody Eischeid (100, 11.21), Braden Moser (400, 53.90), Kolin Sukovaty (shot put, 45-11) and Josh Markert (long jump, 21-2.5) all won golds, while Manson NW also claimed the 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400 races.
"We're looking to get a few events into the Drake Relays because it would be great for these kids to compete on that state," Anliker said. "But we are also gearing up for conference and districts, because they are coming real quick."
St. Edmond had four first-place finishes, as Seth Reel and Hank Lentsch doubled up. Reel won the 1600 (4:50.13) and 3200 (10:16.17), while Lentsch claimed the high jump (6-4) and 110 hurdles (15.62).
"Like everybody else, we just need to get out and compete," SEHS head coach Bill Kibby said. "I thought we had some strong performances (Monday night), and we'll just continue to build and work toward the stretch run here coming up."
Algona won the shuttle hurdle relay, 4x800 and sprint medley, while Peter Hollinger claimed the 800 (2:10.48).
Eagle Grove had a pair of winners in Brandon Johnson (200, 23.44) and Brennan Cameron (400 hurdles, 59.76), while Humboldt's Bryan Larson won the discus (132-9).
