The City Council has temporarily suspended the fee for yard waste collection due to the recent snowstorm.
For the regular yard waste collection on Wednesday, residents do not need to purchase and affix yard waste stickers to the bags and bundles left curbside. All other yard waste policies continue as normal.
Branches should be placed where you normally place your garbage for collection. All tree branches should be bundled. There are no exceptions. Branches should be no longer than four feet long and no larger than four inches in diameter. The bundles should be no larger than 18 inches in diameter and should be placed for collection by 6 a.m. The weight limit on branch bundles and yard waste bags is 50 pounds. Regular yard waste collection of leaves will still occur.
In addition, through May 18, residents will be allowed to bring larger branches from the snow event to the yard waste facility. The attendant will direct residents where to leave the branches; residents are responsible for unloading them. Branches longer than four feet and larger than four inches in diameter will not be accepted after May 18.
The hours of the yard waste site are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. until noon and Saturday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. This applies only to residents who pay for city provided garbage collection.
