MANSON - Behind a career night from Hank Crimmins, the St. Edmond baseball team rolled past Manson Northwest Webster by a 12-2 final in five innings Thursday night.
Crimmins, a junior, went a perfect 4-for-4 with nine RBI, including a grand slam, two two-run doubles and a RBI single.
"Hank just saw the ball well and early in the year he's carrying us," said SEHS head coach Joe Shanks. "Some of our guys are struggling at the plate, but he picked them up and had quite a game (last night)."
Landon Hughett also contributed a pair of singles for the Gaels (3-0 overall), while Ryan Szalat reached base four times and scored three runs.
Matthew Bocken (1-0) fired a two-hitter in the complete game win. He walked two and fanned nine.
In junior varsity action, the Gaels (3-0) edged MNW, 7-6. Daman Perry had a hit and recorded the win on the mound.
