Messenger News

The Fort Dodge Kennel Club will hold Canine Good Citizen testing at 1:30 p.m. June 9 at the Kennel Club Training Center, 210 10th St. N.W.

Testing is open to any dog at least 1 year old. The owner must show proof of current vaccinations. Dogs will be required to walk politely on leash, stay while the owner walks away, be able to meet and greet other dogs and people, and stay quietly when away from their owner. Only buckle or chain collars are allowed for testing. No treats are allowed during testing.

For those interested in training a therapy dog, earning a CGC title is the first step.

To sign up for testing, or for more information, call Rusty Nelson at 573-3020.
