Fort Dodge Selects Fire Chief

Kent Hulett has been nominated to become the next Fort Dodge fire chief.

Hulett, who lives in Illinois, has more than 38 years of fire service experience. He has served as the fire chief in Lincoln, Ill., and in the Chippewa Fire District in Lake Hallis, Wis.

City Manager David Fierke will submit Huletts name to the City Council for approval on June 10. If the council approves his hiring, Hulett will start on the job June 11.

He will replace Fire Chief David Luers, who is retiring.
