A fire at Bemrich Electric and Telephone has been declared an arson, and two suspects have been charged in the case.

Tanner J. King, 22, of Fort Dodge, was arrested early Wednesday morning in the 900 block of S. 25th St. He's been charged with first-degree arson, second-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief, possession of a firearm as a felon, and second-degree theft.

Police are searching for Gregory P. White, 23, of Fort Dodge, who is facing the same charges.

The two men are accused of burglarizing Bemrich Electric and Telephone on June 21, and setting fire to that business during the crime.

Police Chief Tim Carmody said the two might also be involved in a break-in that happened at the American Red Cross on the same day.

Carmody said officers believe White is still in the Fort Dodge area, and asked anybody with information to call the Fort Dodge Police Department at 573-1426.
