Matt Bemrich will seek a second term as mayor of Fort Dodge.
Bemrich filed his nominating petitions at the city clerk's office Monday.
Bemrich, who was elected to the office in 2009 after previously serving on the Fort Dodge City Council, said he looks forward to continuing the city's path of economic progress, and hopes to oversee a focus on the crosstown connector project and housing development during a second four-year term.
Bemrich is the first candidate to file for the office. The election is slated for Nov. 5.
