A: October 2009

Q: What motivated you to open the business?

A: In 2009, I had wanted to raise extra money for the upcoming holidays. I chose to expand to a retail location because my business grew too big for my home kitchen.

Q: How many full-time and part-time employees do you have?

A: We're still family operated. We hope to hire six employees between now and Christmas.

Q: What is your niche?

A: A wide range of desserts, including cheesecakes, cookies, brownies, cakes, pies and pastries. I try to create new and different flavor combinations to give traditional favorites new appeal.

Q: What do you like about being located in

downtown Fort Dodge?

A: Besides the fact that it is located across from the Karl King Park, my favorite place in Fort Dodge, I love the beautiful, historic buildings. The history of downtown is something to be cherished. I also adore my fellow business neighbors. They are all wonderful people.
