Childhood exposure to batterers is the topic of a Lunch & Learn at Trinity Regional Medical Center Oct. 22.
Studies estimate that from 10 to 20 percent of children are at risk for exposure to battering behavior. The program will focus on the impact of that exposure and intervention.
Kirsten Faisal, director of training and technical assistance for the Iowa Coalition Against Domestic Violence, will be the presenter.
The program is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in atrium rooms 3 and 4. A soup and salad lunch will be provided. Cost is $5. Seating is limited. To reserve a seat, contact Pat Cirks, Children and Families of Iowa, 573-2193.
