Fort Dodge Community School District Superintendent Doug Van Zyl and Assistant Superintendent Rob Hughes will hold a "Coffee Conversation" from 7 to 8 a.m. Thursday at the ISU Extension Office, 217 S. 25th St., Suite C-12.
The "Coffee Conversation" is an opportunity for parents and members of the community to ask school leadership questions regarding the district and to learn more about the activities of its students.
"We feel it is important for parents and community members to be knowledgeable about the learning and activities taking place in our schools," said Van Zyl. "This event gives people a chance to ask questions, learn more and be engaged in the educational process here in Fort Dodge."
Parents and community members are encouraged to attend any time during the hour as a come-and-go format will be used. Two additional "Coffee Conversation" events are being planned for later in the school year.
