NEWS: Santa kicked off the Christmas season with visits to the Crossroads Mall in Fort Dodge and the Christmas parade in Sac City.

SPORTS: The Iowa Central men's basketball team beat South Australia 61-53.

NEWS: The recommendation that Fort Dodge schools change to kindergarten through fourth grade, then fifth and sixth grades in one school and seventh and eighth grades in another school, met with opposition at a school board meeting.

SPORTS: Tony Love won the fort Dodge YMCA's double-elimination high school table tennis tournament.
