URBANDALE - The Fort Dodge will meet a near mirror image of themselves tonight as they open the season at Urbandale.
Junior varsity action begins at 6:30 p.m. with the varsity to follow at 7:30 p.m.
Last season Fort Dodge pulled off a 51-21 victory. Both squads have a youthful group, with the Dodgers sending seven underclassmen to the mat and two first timers.
"We've been working hard and wrestling hard,'' said Bobby Thompson. "They've been responding well in the room.''
The Dodgers open the season with five ranked wrestlers. Senior Riley Prescott is rated fourth at 195 pounts and junior Erik Birnbaum is fifth at 113 pounds.
Burnbaum, who earned a district title last year and finished 37-9 after finishing eighth at state will move up to 113.

Prescott, who was a 4A-2 all-divison first team pick in football for the Dodgers is a two-time state qualifier and was 28-16 last year. He was eighth at state.
Sophomore Sam Cook (182) is fifth and classmate Jonah Egli (152) is seventh.
Cook, who was third-team INA?All-State in football, picked up 29 wins last season.
Freshman Tristan Lara is ranked sixth at 106 pounds.
"It should be an exciting dual,'' Thompson said. "The dual season for us will be about matchups.
"This will be a good starting place for us.''
North has a youthful squad as well.
"They're really young and have a new head coach,'' Thompson said. "They have a couple of guys that competed last year.''
