MANSON - The Manson Meridian Singers will be accepting donations to its Friends program until Dec. 31.
The Friends program provides needed financial support to the singing group for its annual production, now in its 43rd consecutive season. Members who are selected for the group pay dues to belong. However, member's dues and ticket sales alone are not enough to totally support this annual presentation. The Friends program was created several years ago and allows seating at a special performance to people, organizations, and businesses that may also wish to make financial donations.
Several levels of Friends support are available, and include Platinum, $100; Gold, $75; Silver, $50; and Bronze, $25. There is also a Corporate Level available for a donation of $250.
As a reward for these monetary donations, the Meridian Singers will offer a special Friends' performance of this year's show, "Celebrate the Music of Life," at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 6, 2014. This special performance is only available to people who contribute at one of the five levels listed, and is not open to the general public. The regular performance will be Feb. 8 and 9, 2014.
Platinum Friends will receive eight tickets to this special performance, while Gold Friends receive six tickets, Silver receives four tickets, and Bronze receives two tickets. Corporate sponsors receive 20 tickets for this performance. Seating for this special performance is on a first-come, first-served basis, with no seats reserved. Doors will open at 7 p.m. As in past years, Friends' names will also be listed in the program. These Friends tickets will be mailed out sometime in mid-January.
Anyone wishing to become a Friend of the Meridian Singers, and who may not have been contacted yet, can send their donations to Manson Meridian Singers Friends Program, P.O. Box 25, Manson, IA 50563.
Be sure to include a listing of how you want your name, organization, or business listed in the program, and where these Friends tickets can be sent.
