Indian girls roll

POCAHONTAS - The Pocahontas Area girls defeated Prairie Valley 87-27 on Friday night.

Freshman Elle Ruffridge paced the Indians (8-1 overall) with 24 points. Ruffridge had seven steals and eight assists.

Hannah Stafford had 21 points for the Indians. Stafford hit five three pointers.

Faith Meyer reached double figures with 13 points.

The Indians set a new school record with 14 three pointers on the night and scored 39 points in the second quarter.

Zoe Schneider had 12 points for the Warriors (2-6).

IDA GROVE - The third-ranked Manson Northwest Webster girls earned a 68-36 victory over OA-BCIG on Friday night.

Ellie Herzberg led the Cougars (7-1 overall) with 24 points. Faith Troshynski added 11.

Jensen Boger led OA-BCIG with 15 points.

ROCKWELL CITY - The 10th-ranked South Central Calhoun girls defeated Carroll 65-18 here on Friday night.

The Titans (9-0 overall) were led by Haley Birks' 14 points. Hannah Corey and and Michaela Graffunder had 10 points each in the victory.

ALTA - The top-ranked Newell-Fonda girls earned a 67-33 victory over Alta-Aurelia on Friday night.

Renee Maneman led the Mustangs (8-0 overall) with 18 points. Hailey Falline added 16.

Izzy Hinkledey and Micah Barnes had 10 points each for the Cyclones.
