ROCKWELL CITY - The South Central Calhoun boys recorded a 69-58 victory over Manson Northwest Webster on Tuesday.

Jake Petzenhauser poured in 31 points for the Titans (7-2 overall), while Jace Neubaum and Derrick Henkenius each added 10.

Jackson Johnson led the way for the Cougars (5-4) with 11 points. Hudson Spedding, Holden Fiedler and Cal Twait all finished with 10.

ALGONA -The Algona boys had 15 players reach the score column on Tuesday night as they cruised to an 88-34 victory over Eagle?Grove.

Trevor Loeschen led the Bulldogs (5-3 overall) with 17 points. Luke Terhark also reached double digits with 11 points

Zach Ploeger led the Eagles (0-9) with five points.

Eagles fall short

BURNSIDE - The Southeast Webster-Grand boys had no answers for Madrid Tuesday night, dropping a 61-35 decision.

Curt Castenson paced the Eagles (0-10 overall) with 12 points, while Cade King chipped in eight.

Luke Hudnutt (13), Nigel Niemier (10) and Nick Novotny (10) all scored in double digits for the Tigers (9-3).

Madrid held Southeast Webster-Grand scoreless in the opening quarter.

CLARION - The Clarion-Goldfield boys dropped a 92-62 decision to No. 2 (Class 3A) Clear Lake on Tuesday.

Chris Staudt (17) and Trenton Sann (11) each scored in double figures for the Cowboys (1-7 overall).

Spencer Davidson tallied 19 points for the Lions (8-0), while Davis Dieken added 18.

Clear Lake outscored Clarion-Goldfield 48-21 in the second half, including 32-11 in the fourth quarter.

Jossie Ferrari scored a game-high 21 points for the Eagles (3-7 overall), while Josie Breitsprecher added eight.

For the Tigers (1-8), Alexandra Niemier finished with 10 points.

Faith Troshynski tallied 13 points for the Cougars (8-1 overall), while Brenna Peters added 11.

For the Titans (8-1), Haley Birks led the way with 12 points. Hannah Corey chipped in nine.

HINTON - The top-ranked Newell-Fonda (1A) girls dropped a tough-contest to sixth-ranked Hinton (2A) on Tuesday night.

Hinton held off the Mustangs for a 61-50 victory.

Claudia Larsen led the Mustangs with 15 points. Maddi Morenz reached double digits with 10 points.

Lauren Hedland, Halear Lund and Alexis yoerger all had 16 points for Hinton.

ALGONA - The Algona girls had no trouble with Eagle Grove Tuesday night, cruising to a 68-27 victory.

Carly Seely sparked the Bulldogs (4-6 overall, 3-5 in the North Central Conference) with 17 points.

Tangy Wiseman also contributed 15 points for Algona.

Megan Crail finished with eight points for the Eagles (0-10, 0-9).
