No. 1 Mustangs

stay unbeaten

NEWELL - The top-ranked (Class 1A) Newell-Fonda boys posted a 60-50 victory over Pocahontas Area Friday night.

Brady Dicks sparked the unbeaten Mustangs (10-0 overall) with 19 points, while Dalton Anderson added 18.

Tanner Youngberg (20) and Austin Roetman (16) each scored in double figures for the Indians (4-7).

MANSON - The Manson Northwest Webster boys downed West Bend-Mallard here Friday night, 78-69.

Collin Christensen led three Cougars in double figures with 18, while Cal Twait added 17 and Hudson Spedding 16.

For the Wolverines, Jason Zinnel scored 24.

HUMBOLDT - The Humboldt boys had no trouble with Clarion-Goldfield Friday night, cruising to a 76-49 victory.

Jack Curran led the way for the Wildcats (8-2 overall, 7-2 in the North Central Conference) with 21 points.

Brady Ross (17) and Jaxon Heinz (12) each scored in double figures as well for Humboldt.

Chris Staudt tallied 15 points for the Cowboys (1-8, 1-7), while Cody Kapka added 12.

Nathan Krieps had 27 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and three steals to lead the Golden Bears (4-6 overall, 3-5 in NCC). Chris Loss added 19 in the win.
