The Fort Dodge Kennel Club will be offering puppy kindergarten and basic obedience classes starting Feb. 3.

Puppy kindergarten is for puppies 3 to 6 months old who have received their vaccinations. Puppies will learn socialization skills in order to function well with people, dogs and new environments, plus basic commands. All training is done on a buckle collar with praise and treats.

Puppy class is on Monday nights. Basic obedience classes for dogs over 6 months old will begin Feb. 5. Dogs will learn to sit, stay, down, heel on a leash and to come. Behavioral problems will also be discussed and solutions offered.

Cost is $60 for seven weeks of class. For more information call Rusty Nelson at 573-3020.
