Bulldogs top Cadets

ALGONA - The Algona boys earned a 64-41 victory over Iowa Falls-Alden on Friday night.

Landon Rash led the Bulldogs with 18 points. Luke Terhark added 14 and Justin Raymond pitched in with 11.

No. 1 Mustangs win

LAKE CITY - The second-ranked (Class 1A) Newell-Fonda boys stayed unbeaten with a 79-69 victory over South Central Calhoun on Friday.

Brady Bohe finished with 26 points for the Mustangs (15-0 overall).

Dalton Anderson (17), Brady Dicks (15) and Dillon Anderson (10) all reached double figures in scoring as well for Newell-Fonda.

For the Titans (13-4), Jake Petzenhauser netted a game-high 33 points. Sam Spencer chipped in 12.

Cougars stopped

MANSON - The Manson Northwest Webster boys fell short against Alta-Aurelia Friday night, 55-41.

Cal Twait paced the Cougars (10-6 overall) with 13 points, while Collin Christensen chipped in eight.

Jayden VanBerkum tallied 16 points for the Warriors (12-4). Josh McCormick and Zach Sliefert each added 10.

WEBSTER CITY - The Webster City boys earned a 74-61 victory over Eagle Grove on Friday night.

Mason Myers led the Lynx with 27 points. Avery Fuhs (15), Ben Mossman (11) and Colt Richardson (11) also reached double figures.

Jake Wilde paced the Eagles with 26 points. Zach Ploeger had 19.

Wolverines roll

CORWITH - The West Bend-Mallard boys pounded Corwith-CWL by a 73-40 final Friday night.

Jason Zinnel tallied a game-high 17 points for the Wolverines (9-7 overall, 5-4 in the Cornbelt Conference).

Jesse Zinnel (16), Jordan Buhs (16) and Brady Jenson (12) were next in line offensively for West Bend-Mallard.

For the Panthers (4-12, 2-7), Esden Carroll led the way with 15 points. Jared Haler added 11.

Warriors escape

GOWRIE - Logan Boerner's two free throws with just one second left lifted the Prairie Valley boys to a 58-57 victory over Laurens-Marathon Friday night.

Boerner finished with 10 points for the Warriors (3-11 overall). Conner Conrad (17), Ethan Wiederin (11) and Dakota Jaeschke (10) all scored in double digits as well for Prairie Valley.

Tyler Stumbo poured in a game-high 33 points for the Chargers, while Riley Maschino added 18.

Indians win at home

POMEROY - The Pocahontas Area boys picked up a 75-28 victory over Storm Lake St. Mary's on Friday night.

Tanner Youngberg led the Indians (7-9 overall) with 20 points. Austin Roetman turned in a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
