Root beer float fundraiser set

ROCKWELL CITY - Root beer floats will be offered Wednesday to raise money to maintain the old railroad depot in Rockwell City. The floats will served beginning at 4 p.m. at 230 Fourth St. A freewill donation will be accepted. The depot was built in 1899.

Messenger to mark Independence Day

Stroh graduates with honors

Cera Stroh, of Fort Dodge, graduated from Central College in Pella with Alpha Zeta Mu honors. To receive that honor, she earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.8. Stroh was one of 83 Central College graduates to receive that honor.

Two FD residents get honors
