Darrel and Maxine Merk

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Darrel and Maxine Merk, formerly from Manson, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 26.

Their family includes Jeff Merk, of Cornelius, N.C.; and Kim Guido, of Oviedo, Florida. They have four granddaughters.

He is retired from Archer Daniels Midland. She is retired from Maggio Dental Office.

They were married at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Duncombe on Oct. 26, 1968.
