Shelley and Mike Kopp

Mike and Shelley Kopp, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today.

Their family includes Courtney Kopp, of Manson, and Kyle Kopp, of rural Fort Dodge. They have one grandson.

Shelley Pieper and Mike Kopp were married Oct. 23, 1971, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge. They were high school sweethearts. He served in the US Navy from 1969-1973 and was self-employed in HVAC businesses. She worked at Trinity Regional Medical Center.
