Gerald and Ellen Streit

WEST BEND — Gerald and Ellen Streit will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Oct. 22. A Mass for their intention will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Oct. 27 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in West Bend.

Their family includes Vivian Streit, of Algona; Michelle Streit, of Adel; Tony and Diane Streit, of West Bend; Myra and John Crawford, of Elberon; Joyce and Chris Lizzi, of Plymouth, Minnesota; Sarah and John Jackson, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Becky and Justin Abell, of Sigourney. They have 25 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Ellen Hutchinson and Gerald Streit were married Oct. 22, 1959, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Bancroft. They lived three years in Algona before moving to West Bend in 1962 to begin their farming career. They live in West Bend and are active members in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church of the Divine Mercy Parish Cluster. He is a retired deacon.
