The Friends of the Fort Dodge Public Library Brown Bag Briefing is noon Thursday at the Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave. Bring your lunch and enjoy thought provoking topics of interest to area residents. Coffee, water and cookies will be provided. Programs last one hour.

Thursday’s program is the Comedia Musica Players: “Seussical the Musical.” Several Comedia Players will perform selections from “Seussical” in addition to glimpses of behind-the-scenes preparations and the process involved in putting on a musical of this caliber and size. This nonprofit troupe was founded in 1968 and will present its fall show on Nov. 9 through11 at the newly renovated Phillips auditorium.
