KYL announces children’s department January events

WEBSTER CITY — Kendall Young Library, Webster City, will be hosting children’s events in January.

Tales Around the Town — Kendall Young Library along with local Webster City businesses will be taking storytime on the road. Each week families are invited to meet at a designated location, hear a story and experience the host location. January is full of excitement as we visit new places. No registration required. Just follow the signs for the fun.

Jan. 13 — Hamilton County Public Health, 1610 Collins St., Suite 1 – 5:30 p.m.

Jan. 20 — Southfield Wellness Community, 2416 Des Moines St. – 5:30 p.m.

Jan. 27 — Kendall Young Library, 1201 Willson Ave. – 5:30 p.m.

Wild Things (PreK-2nd) will meet on Tuesdays from 3:45 to 5 p.m. in January. This time will offer a variety of stories and activities each week. Join us for all the adventures.

Fuzzy Ducklings (under 3 years) will meet on Wednesday mornings from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in January. This parent/child experience is fun for everyone.

Tween’s Time (3rd – 5th grade) will meet on Thursdays from 3:45 to 5 p.m. in January. They will explore crafts, STEM, cooking and so much more.

Early Out Movies (8 year olds – 12th grade) — Youth are invited on Jan. 15 from 12:30 to 2 p.m., to watch “Harold and the Purple Crayon.” Popcorn provided.

Homeschool TECH BUILD — Students will have time to work on a Mousetrap Car on Jan. 16 from 1 to 3 p.m. where they can build and modify their project. This is designed for youth third through 12th grade and will be held each month in the Teen Area.
