KYL holding January teen events
WEBSTER CITY — Kendall Young Library, Webster City, will be having variety of Teen events throughout January
Teen Lounge — Patrons in sixth through 12th grade are invited each Tuesday in January from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Join us weekly for special activities, video games, snacks, crafts, board games, and more. This time and place is perfect to hang out with friends and is a come-and-go style event.
Teen Book Club — Teens are invited to be a part of the 2025 Teen Book Club. We will be starting the year by reading “The Cousins,” by Karen M. McManus. Books are available at the Reference Desk. We will be meeting on Jan. 30 at 3:30 p.m. to discuss and hand out the February book.
Early Out Movies (8 year olds – 12th grade) — Youth are invited on Jan. 15 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. to watch “Harold and the Purple Crayon.” Popcorn provided.
Homeschool TECH BUILD — Students will have time to work on a Mousetrap Car on Jan. 16 from 1 to 3 p.m. where they can build and modify their project. This is designed for youth third through12th grade and will be held each month in the Teen Area.
As always, every day the Teen area located in the Kendall Young Library offers a variety of crafts, board games, community Lego build, Chromebooks, video games, books, and STEM Cart activities that are always available. Stop in for the fun.
