Johnson, whom many also know as the Emmy-award winning lead singer of Tonic Sol-fa, will bring a Big Band sound with classic and jazzed up Christmas songs to the celebrated venue. Proceeds from the concert will help to fund phase three of the restoration of the Historic Phillips Auditorium, as well as the purchase of more stage lighting.

“The magic of the holidays comes alive when we unite as a community to experience a truly professional and unforgettable concert,” said Shelly Bottorff, executive director of the Fort Dodge Fine Arts Association. “This event will captivate audiences of all ages, creating memories that will last a lifetime and bring a shared sense of joy and celebration to our community.” 

Tickets are available online at EventBrite.com. General admission tickets are $35 with VIP tickets also available. VIP tickets include a meet and greet and photo opportunity with Johnson approximately 30 minutes prior to the concert. 

According to Bottorff, pre-sales for tickets to the holiday show are selling quickly.

Shaun Johnson and the Big Band Experience will perform a holiday concert fundraiser on Dec. 15 at the Historic Phillips Auditorium. All proceeds from the Christmas concert will help to fund phase 3 of the auditorium’s restoration process.
