The Whitesidewalls coming to Opera House
Popular band to rock Holiday Gala
The Fort Museum and Frontier Village welcomes The Whitesidewalls Rock ‘n’ Roll Revue from Minneapolis for its annual fundraising event on Saturday, Dec. 28.
“Lead singer Dave ‘Swanee’ Swanson and the band are looking very forward to their visit,” said Deborah Davis, Fort Museum executive director. “They hope to see a lot of people on hand.”
The group, which has been entertaining audiences for more than 50 years, plays family-friendly ’50’s and ’60’s music. In addition to Swanson, band members include Erik “Rocky Beaumont” Swenson, “Captain Peter,” Bill “Bobby Maestro” Spalding and Rusty Renault. The evening kicks off at 6:30 p.m., with The Whitesidewalls scheduled to go live between 7 and 7:30 p.m.
“This is always such an important night for the Museum,” Davis noted. “We use this to help bolster our operations budget for the year.”
“It’s a fun way to let people know we’re here,” she continued. “We want the community to be involved with quality entertainment.”
Cost for the event set for the Museum’s Opera House is $500 for VIP tables that can seat 10 guests, $50 for couples, and $30 for individuals.
Tickets are on sale now at www.fortmuseumfv.com by clicking on the “Gala” tab. Davis indicated doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets will be available then, but prices will slightly increase at that time.
