Chris Taylor and Lindsey Strait

Lindsey Strait and Chris Taylor, both of Fort Dodge, are engaged.

Parents of the couple are Rod and Nancy Strait, of Fort Dodge; and Debbie Rossmanith and Lloyd Reed, of Fort Dodge.

An Oct. 14 wedding is planned.

Strait earned her bachelor of science degree in kinesiology from Iowa State University. She is a senior cost clerk for National Gypsum Co.

Taylor attended Iowa Central Community College where he studied criminal justice. He is a correctional officer for the Fort Dodge Correctional Facility. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years.
