ALGONA — Maureen Elbert, the retiring director of Kossuth/Palo Alto Economic Development, was nominated by numerous colleagues for Professional Developers of Iowa Life Member status.

In the PDI bylaws, a description of Life Member states: “A Life Member shall be a former Member retired from the profession and recognized by the Corporation for previous contributions to the organization and profession. Life Members will not pay dues and will not have voting rights or hold office.”

PDI thanked Elbert for her dedication to the organization and contributions to the profession. She was formally recognized at the PDI Fall Conference during the annual meeting on Sept. 26 at Iowa Valley Community College in Marshalltown.
