Osborn Stubbs joins the Friendship Haven Board of Directors

Ricki Osborn Stubbs has joined the Friendship Haven Board of Directors.

Osborn Stubbs, a native of Fort Dodge, graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1990. She then earned her associate degree from Iowa Central Community College, her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, and her law degree from Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1997.

She returned to Fort Dodge to begin her legal career as an assistant county attorney in the Webster County Attorney’s Office. In 2002, she was promoted to first assistant, and in 2009, she was appointed county attorney. In 2010, she was elected as Webster County attorney.

In 2013, Osborn Stubbs took over R. Thomas Price’s law firm upon his retirement and began Osborn Stubbs Law Office, P.C., where she continues to practice law. Additionally, she served as a part-time assistant Calhoun County attorney in 2014 and again in 2016. In 2018, she was appointed to serve as Calhoun County magistrate.

She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Iowa State Bar Association, and the Webster County Bar Association where she began serving as president.

She is married to James Stubbs and together they have a son, J.R. She also has a stepson, Tyler, his wife, Tia, and two granddaughters.
