Adrianne Peters, a staff pharmacist in the Inpatient Pharmacy at UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center, was named the October Employee of the Month.

She was nominated by Rose Zach, an advanced registered nurse practitioner in UnityPoint Clinic Surgery, for working together to review medications or brainstorm ways to find a safe, effective treatment for hospitalized patients.

“On one occasion, I called asking about medication management,” Zach said. “Not only did she talk everything through with me, but she came to my office and brought me an article she printed with even further explanation.”

Zach recalled another instance where Peters went out of her way while restarting a time-sensitive medication for a patient after surgery.

“Adrianne was off work the next day, before the medication needed to be restarted, but prior to leaving she discussed the medication with me and made sure it was all taken care of before she left for the day,” Zach said. “I can always count on Adrianne to help with a smile.”
